A trip to the lively little town of Pitlochry (26 miles) could take in the Festival Theatre and famous Fish Ladder, which is negotiated by thousands of salmon each year. Host to the Highland Games, Pitlochry also boasts interesting shopping, good restaurants and golf. Historic Blair Castle (20 miles) is among the attractions within easy reach.
