Attractions as diverse as Lulworth Castle, the Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World and Cloud's Hill, former home of T. E. Lawrence (of Arabia) and now in the care of the National Trust, are all within easy reach and a drive to the fascinating Cerne Giant, an ancient figure cut into a chalk hillside, should not be missed. Hardy's Cottage at Higher Brockhampton and Corfe Castle (both N.T.) are also well worth exploring. Glorious sandy beaches and all the traditional delights of the seaside can be found at Weymouth, 12 miles. Riding, golf and sailing can all be enjoyed within a 10 mile drive.
